Crystal Dynamics has confirmed it will unveil its new IP later this year.
The reveal will form part of the company’s 20th anniversary celebrations as the studio prepares to launch its eagerly-anticipated reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise.
“The New Year ushers in more than just fresh calendars and renewed resolutions. 2012 will prove to be a very exciting year for Crystal Dynamics, more so than any in recent memory,” said Meagan Marie, during a blog post on Square Enix Members EU.
“Not only will our team be eating, sleeping, and breathing Tomb Raider, but we’ll also be hard at work preparing to reveal exciting new intellectual property to the world.”
Not much is known on the new IP itself, though Crystal Dynamics’ Darrell Gallagher confirmed that the studio was busy working on a new project back in July 2011.
Tomb Raider is due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year.
