CD Projekt Red CyberPunk 2077 DLC News PS4 PS5

Cyberpunk 2077 Had Lots Of Content Cut, Will Be Included As DLC Until June 2021 – Rumor

CD Projekt RED will reportedly offering cut content from Cyberpunk 2077 as DLC until June, according to an extensive post on GameFAQs that was reportedly shared by members of the development team. It reveals that the game had a fair amount of content put on the chopping block prior to its December launch.

While you should take all this with a pinch of salt, as nothing has been verified by CDPR, it reveals that the game was originally going to be much larger in terms of scale, but had to be scaled down in order to meet its 2020 release window. Examples mention include a quest that had to be rewritten dozens of times, Keanu Reeves not being the original choice for Johnny Silverhand, and a detailed wanted system with the NCPD.

In regards to the cut content, it is believed that CDPR will implement it in the coming months via DLC up until June, which will be followed by the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game and finally, the planned multiplayer.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10, 2020 for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
