Danganronpa 2 brings more classroom murder mystery action to North America this September

A few months ago, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair was confirmed for release in the West on PlayStation Vita. Thanks to a new sales sheet from Atlus, who’s distributing the game for NIS America, there is now a release date for North America: September 2, 2014.

Danganronpa 2 still retains the Battle Royale/Hunger Games-meets-Phoenix Wright concept, but stars an all-new class of students for the devilish robotic bear Monokuma to torment. Both English dubbed and original Japanese audio will be included. Goodbye Despair will be available digitally and physically for $39.99.

The first game launched in North America and Europe last February for the PS Vita (read my review here). It was originally released in Japan on the PlayStation Portable, before being ported to over to other platforms. Danganronpa since then evolved into a franchise that includes novels, manga, and an anime adaptation, which is available for streaming by Funimation.
