David Goldfarb Unearths His Battlefield Bad Company 3 Script, Is ‘Freaked Out By How Much Might Actually Have Been Accurate’

David Goldfarb, one of the key developers behind the much-loved Battlefield Bad Company 2, recently unearthed the script that he was scribbling away at for Battlefield Bad Company 3, and has admitted it shocked him just how accurate it may have been.

Just in case you aren’t aware, Bad Company see Russia locking horns with the United States, with the former having invaded Alaska off-screen by the conclusion of Battlefield Bad Company 2. Goldfarb notes, “short version is, Russia won and partially took over Alaska.”

Dammit I found the first three pages of one of my Bad Company 3 scripts. I forgot I had the store Haggard was working in called the ‘Adiosvidaniya’ and now I am freaked out by how much might actually have been accurate.

We never got to storyboards, I just wrote it on my own. Maybe one day we’ll return to that universe, but for now, it seems as though it’s all hitting a little close to home.

Goldfarb touched base on Battlefield Bad Company 3 last November during a chat with PCGamesN, stating that EA knows “where I am if they want to do” a new entry in the franchise. However, he wasn’t too optimistic that it would happen due to the current development climate, but we can still live in hope.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 was released back in 2010 for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360, although sadly EA delisted the game in April 2023 alongside the original Bad Company and a few other legacy titles.
