David Jaffe’s latest project will not be at E3

Eat Sleep Play bigwig David Jaffe has shot down any hopes of seeing the company’s latest project at E3 next month, confirming that the studio will not be showing anything on the game at the Los Angeles-based event.

Speaking in a recent video update, Jaffe commented: “I’ll say it right now, because some people are speculating: we’re absolutely not going to be at E3,” adding, “I will be there, and Scott Campbell may be there… but we’re not showing anything.”

It’s not all bad news, though – Jaffe said that fans can expect the studio to be out in full force at E3 2010: “Next year, I fully expect us to be on the showfloor,” he said. “Part of me would love to announce at E3, so you walk into the Sony booth and bam, there’s our game.”

Smart money says the unannounced game will take the form of a new entry in the Twisted Metal franchise. Watch this space.
