Wes Yanagi, producer of DC Universe Online, has revealed that the hotly anticipated MMO still has “a lot of work ahead” if the title is to meet its projected 2010 release date.
“We still have a lot of work ahead of us,” said Yanagi, during a chinwag with the folks at Official PlayStation Magazine.
Still, every cloud has a silver lining, and for Yanagi and co, it’s looking back at the sheer amount of work the development team has accomplished thus far with the game:
“The good feeling is that we can look behind us and see the mountain of work we’ve done, and the stuff we have ahead of us is definitely smaller,” he explained.
“We’re really happy with the progress. But as far as dates go, we want to focus on one milestone at a time.”
So, if all goes to plan, expect to see DC Universe on the shelves for PS3 and PC at some point this year. Until then, we’ll be sure to keep you posted on the game’s development.
