Dead By Daylight Developer Behaviour Interactive Reportedly Hit By Layoffs

Behaviour Interactive, the studio behind horror title Dead by Daylight, has reportedly seen around 45 employees laid off last week, according to a report on Kotaku.

The layoffs hit a number of departments at Behaviour Interactive, although the studio itself has yet to publicly confirmed the job losses. However, at least one staff member has taken to LinkedIn to confirm layoffs. Unfortunately, Behaviour Interactive appears to be yet another casualty of the ongoing job losses that have swept the games industry since last year, which sadly look to continue in 2024.

Embracer Group alone confirmed late last year that it had let go of over 900 staff members across its various studios, and only early this week it was confirmed that Lost Boys Interactive, a support studio for Gearbox, had suffered layoffs.

According to data tracked on videogamelayoffs.com, it is estimated that some 10,500 layoffs had impacted the games industry last year.
