The Dead by Daylight release date may have just been leaked by online retailer ShopToNet.
Starbreeze Studios and Behavior Interactive’s PS4 and Xbox One horror game was released on PC in Summer 2016, and involves a group of survivors and a killer in a cat-and-mouse game of survival.
ShopToNet has listed the Dead by Daylight special edition for release on 23 June, 2017. Placeholders by retailers aren’t anything new, but when they’re as specific as this it seems that they’re in the know.
The action in Dead by Daylight is set across six creepy locations, including:
- The MacMillan Estate
- Autohaven Wreckers Coldwind Farm
- Crotus Prenn Asylum
- Haddonfield Backwater Swamp
Areas include a decrepit cornfield and a haunted asylum as survivors attempt to escape a secluded area while keeping out of the way of the killer! The killer is also a playable character with one person stepping into the role of a Trapper,a Wraith, a Hillbilly, aNurse, the Shape, or the Hag each of which has their own unique ability.
If that is the correct Dead by Daylight release date it will be going up against a very similar game in Friday the 13th: The Game which also features multiple survivors attempting to escape from the terrifying figure of Jason Voorhes.
