Like a shambling corpse freshly risen from the grave, Dambuster Studio‘s Dead Island 2 has shuffled into the number one spot on the UK All Format Chart, becoming the third biggest launch of the year to date.
According to the latest date from GamesIndustry.biz, Dead Island 2 managed to sell about half the number of copies as Resident Evil 4 Remake did at launch, although did considerably more numbers than Dead Space Remake.
Meanwhile, Minecraft Legends debuted in second place with 76% of all physical sales going to the Nintendo Switch version of the game, with PlayStation and Xbox taking up the remaining 19% and 5%, respectively. Hogwarts Legacy and Resident Evil 4 Remake continue to perform well, keeping within the Top 10 alongside chart staples Mario Kart 8 and FIFA 23.
