The Chinese Room has announced that Dear Esther: Landmark Edition will be strolling onto PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 20.
The critically-acclaimed adventure title, which was originally released for the PC back in 2012, makes its PS4 debut with a host of new content, such as Director’s Commentary, plus various visual and gameplay tweaks.
Gamers will be able to pick up Dear Esther digitally for £7.99.
Seen as a spiritual predecessor to Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, Dear Esther sees players exploring a mysterious island in the Hebrides, while hearing a troubled chap reading out a series of letters to his dearly-departed wife. As the player explores deeper, the circumstances surrounding the man’s wife are slowly revealed.
