Death Stranding Isolations Is An Animated Series Heading To Disney+ In 2027

Fresh off the success of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, developer Kojima Productions has announced that it is adapting the franchise for a Disney+ series in 2027 titled Death Stranding Isolations.

Death Stranding Isolation, which is currently the working title for the animated series, will featured a hand-drawn 2D animation style and will focus on a brand new story featuring a “young man and woman” who have yet to be detailed. The official synopsis can be seen below.

Somewhere in North America, just as Sam Bridges walks through the continent in order to save America, the someones are also trying to deal with their isolation in their own way. An old man trying to realise salvation through ways outside of the connection advocated by Bridges. A female warrior who tries to kickstart a world of constant fighting. A boy with a grudge against Bridges. A girl who embraces loneliness.

On the precipice of the end of humanity and the world, their fates and hopes converge, as another story of Death Stranding begins. And now, comes another explosion.

As previously reported, Death Stranding is also getting a dedicated animated movie and a full-blown movie adaptation. The animated feature, titled Death Stranding: Mosquito, is the product of ABC Animation Studio and will be directed by Hiroshi Miyamoto, while A24 is handling production duties for the live-action movie. The film is set to be directed by Michael Sarnoski, who helmed A Quiet Place: Day One.
