EA Sports has unveiled FIFA 16 by announcing the inclusion of Women’s sides to the game for the very first time.
A trailer for the annual football franchise’s latest effort showcases various stars of the Women’s international scene both in real-life and in-game. Twelve sides are to be featured including England, USA, Germany, Brazil and Japan.
The Women’s sides can be used in offline play and online friendlies, with no mention of being included in Ultimate Team. The trailer can be viewed below.
Also of note is the announcement of the release date, namely September 24 on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 systems.
An admirable move by EA? While there will no doubt be support and praise for the addition of the women’s game to the footballing juggernaut, there will predictably be some needless negativity from certain quarters as well.
