Sega announced today the anime character-filled 2D fighter Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax will release on October 6, 2015 in North America for the PlayStation 3 and Vita. A special launch edition includes a Bonus Edition Soundtrack CD and will be available for retail pre-orders and a limited number of first print copies.
The Bonus Edition Soundtrack CD includes tracks from Japanese composers Teruhiko Nakagawa (Shinobi), Naofumi Hataya (NiGHTS into Dreams…), Kenichi Tokoi (Sonic and the Secret Rings), and Jun Senoue (Sonic Adventure series, Sonic Heroes, Sonic and the Black Knight).
Released in Japan last November, Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax features a lineup of characters from popular light novels published by ASCII Media Works under the Dengeki Bunko brand. Fighting Climax’s roster includes characters from Sword Art Online, Oreimo, A Certain Magical Index, A Certain Scientific Railgun, Shakugan no Shana, Durarara!!, Toradora!, Spice and Wolf and more.
Characters from Sega’s Virtua Fighter and Valkyria Chronicles with all the stages themed after iconic Sega franchises.
An updated version titled Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax Ignition launched yesterday in Japan.
Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax’s European release will be digital-only and release on October 6 as well.
