Publishing giant Activision has revealed a slew of new Destiny 2 DLC plans during its latest investors call, confirming the company has a “continuous calendar of events following the expansion pass” for the upcoming shared-world shooter on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.

The first expansion is due for release in winter 2017 with the second arriving by spring 2018, while developer Bungie seems to be keeping its promise of continuing to support the original Destiny, with a free update coming to the 2014 alien shooter at some point down the line.

Activision has previously said that it aims to avoid the content droughts that plagued the first game in regards to Destiny 2’s DLC lineup, and from this latest info it seems that the publisher is definitely lining up a solid post-launch lineup for the new game.

Destiny 2 is due for release on September 8, 2017, with the game taking place following a devastating attack on the Tower by a powerful Cabal unit. As such, the local Guardians are forced to fight back having lost all their equipment, which is Bungie’s way of explaining why you are only able to transfer the look and gender of your Destiny character over to the sequel.

Stay tuned for the first Destiny 2 gameplay footage later this month, with Bungie hosting a livestream event where we’ll get our first glimpse at the hotly anticipated sequel in action.
