Destiny 2 server problems hit shared-world sequel
Destiny 2 launched worldwide yesterday for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it wasn’t without its teething issues.
Destiny 2 error codes
Aside from the various error codes that have been popping up since the game’s servers went live, it seems that PS4 gamers are experiencing problems in accessing the game, thanks to some widespread PSN errors.
"We are investigating players on PlayStation 4 receiving errors indicating permissions to access online multiplayer may have changed,” said Bungie overnight.
Things seem to have improved over the past few hours regarding Destiny 2, although players are still encountering hiccups accessing the game on PS4.
Sony has also acknowledged the problems, releasing the following statement: "We are aware that some PS4 users have reported issues accessing PSN tonight. Thanks for your patience as we investigate."
This could also be linked with on-going PSN problems affecting games with major online components, such as ARK and Battlefield 1.
We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop on any Destiny 2 server problems.
