So, you’ve finally done it. After weeks, possibly months of arduous grinding, you’ve hit that magical Level 32 mark in Destiny. Crota is defeated, you’ve slain countless Fallen, picked up some rare armor, and more importantly, don’t have to farm those bloody Ascendant and Radiant Shards again. Now you can put the game down until House of Wolves arrives, right? Wrong. There’s still plenty for you to do, Guardian, even if you think Destiny has given you everything it has to offer until the next DLC drop.
Hardcore Destiny players will still find plenty of content to tuck into, whether it’s attempting to collect every piece of armor in the game, or tackle another class of character. As such, here’s 5 things to do in Destiny when you hit level 32.

Make another Guardian
For those of you who have stuck with one character (or even two) so far, it’s highly recommend you make another Guardian. The advantages of having 2-3 characters cannot be overstated; not only can you share items in the Vault, such as weapons, armor, and all-important upgrade materials, but it means you can also earn double/triple the amount of Strange Coins from the Weekly strike as well as other gear. Aside from that, there’s the obvious interest in playing as a new class; the Titan, Warlock, and Hunter all play different, and it’s fun to experiment with each class, not to mention have them a different gender and/or race. Go on, give it a try.
Do the Nightfall/Weekly/Daily
One of Destiny’s most challenging past times comes in the form of the Nightfall and Weekly Heroic strike, which are reset every Tuesday. These are high-level strikes that require plenty of team play to beat, or if you’re pretty skilled at Bungie’s shooter, you could probably tackle it solo without too much trouble. Completing these will net you all sorts of goodies, including Strange Coins, Legendary and Exotic gear/weapons, and Vanguard Reputation. Then there’s the daily, which offers a high-level story mission to tackle every 24 hours, again rewarding you with various bits and bobs. Sure, these are missions you’ve already played, but they’re still great, bite-sized distractions that are worth doing.
Beat Crota’s End on Hard mode and/or solo
Fancy yourself a Destiny maestro? Then put your money where your mouth is and have a pop on Crota’s End on hard mode or attempt to solo the raid. Not only does this offer a significantly greater challenge, but it also counts as a ‘new’ raid, meaning you can still unlock new gear even if you have completed it on the regular difficulty setting. Beat hard mode, and you can consider yourself a true Guardian.
Collect all available armor and weapons
With a massive Vault at your fingertips, why not go that extra mile and amass an impressive collection of every Exotic or Legendary piece of armor or weapon in the game? Sure, this will take a long time, and more than often, some good old fashioned luck in regards to loot drops, but with time to kill until House of Wolves, why not go for it? Furthermore, taking part in the Nightfall and Weekly as describe earlier in this article will also facilitate your goals here, rewarding you with rare loot on occasion. In fact, PSU’s very own Alex Locher has already grabbed pretty much every weapon in the game, so it’s not just a pipe dream and IS possible if you’re highly invested in Bungie’s critically polarizing alien blaster. That, or you have a bit too much free time.
Take part in The Crucible
The Crucible is one of Destiny’s best time sinks, and regardless of how high your level is, it’s always a challenge as your weapons and armor don’t really make much difference—unless it’s Iron Banner, of course. With various different game modes, plenty of opportunity for fireteam tactical play, not to mention a wealth of brilliant maps on offer that have been added since release, the Crucible alone should keep you busy for the next couple of months as you pit your skills against like-minded Guardians in a bid for shooting supremacy.
