Destiny celebrates its first level 30 player

Destiny has claimed its first player to reach the magical level 30 mark after a whopping 107 hours of play time.

User Mark Edward Neace Jr took to Twitter to post his accomplishment, showing off his snazzy Guardian decked out Legendary and Exotic gear.

The player revealed that he spent a quarter of his game time in Destiny’s Crucible setting, and it’s paid off: he’s now the world’s first ever level 30 Guardian.

Destiny, for those who aren’t aware, has a soft level cap of 20, which is easy enough to reach if you plough through the XP-rewarding storyline and rake in Crucible victories.

However, once you reach level 20, the only way you can progress is by equipping armor with light attributes. Once you reach the required number of light points, you’ll increase your level. That’s easier said than done, though, as the armor in question is pretty rare.
