Destiny cheaters banned for Trials of Osiris trickery

Destiny players who have taken advantage of an exploit in Trials of Osiris have been banned by developer Bungie for their trickery, the studio has confirmed.

The nefarious tactic involves booting the opposing team members offline allowing the other side to cheat their way to victory. However, Bungie has now clamped down on the issue after complaints started cropping up on Reddit by disgruntled players.

"There were some among you who took nefarious action against your opponents," said the former Halo developer. "Our intrepid team of investigators has diagnosed the most egregious cheaters among us. If you earned your victories by sinister means, you may very well have also earned a temporary (or permanent) time-out.

"Bungie is always watching. We enjoy a fair fight and we aim to protect the landscape of the game. Play nice!"

The Trials of Osiris sees two teams of three competing against each other for glory and rare loot. Lose three matches and you’re out, but if you win nine, you will be rewarded with plenty of riches and gear.

Bungie confirmed in its latest update that Iron Banner will return on June 2. Check out Xur’s latest stock here.
