The lead writer for Mass Effect Andromeda has announced he has left developer BioWare Montreal and returned to Bungie.
Christopher Schlerf had been working on the hotly anticipated action-RPG title since November 2013, although in a post on Twitter (via Reddit), he revealed that he has actually been back with Bungie for a few months now.
Despite jumping ship, Schlerf was incredibly positive about his experience with the Mass Effect developer, and feels that Andromeda will blow gamers away when it launches later this year. Furthermore, he added that he’s incredibly proud to have been part of the project.
Schlerf has previously worked with Bungie prior to moving to BioWare, and was instrumental in the development of Halo 4, where he served as senior writer and narrative director. In addition, he also penned issues one to six of Halo Escalation.
Mass Effect Andromeda is currently in development for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. The game is scheduled for release in holiday 2016.
