The developer behind Destiny has revealed a fresh batch of stats on the shared-world shooter in light of the game’s one-month anniversary late last week.
Bungie confirmed that the science-fiction alien blaster, which was released globally on September 9, averages around 3.2 million gamers per day. Furthermore, players spend roughly three hours each sessions.
The former Halo developer added that Destiny is booted up on average 1.8 times per day, though notes gamers have only played the game 20.8 times during the past 30 days.
However, during the last three weeks, players have been online with Destiny more times than Halo 3 and Halo: Reach combined during the same time frame.
"We thank you for playing. And, we thank you for the passion and enthusiasm that has made the Destiny community so strong already," commented Bungie. "It’s been amazing to watch your Guardians become legends. Your reactions and your opinions have helped us to make Destiny better over this past month.
"Pioneering something new is never easy. When we see the raw numbers, it’s easy for us to say that the destination was worth the journey. Stay tuned for the next evolution of our shared adventure."
