Destiny’s upcoming The Taken King expansion offers a wealth of new content for Bungie’s critically polarizing shared-world shooter, among which includes a new Legendary version of the Stranger’s Rifle.

The original version of the Pulse Rifle was awarded to players for completing Destiny’s main storyline, and proved itself a worthy choice of weapon in the Crucible.
However, the weapon has now gained Legendary status, making it even more of a potent weapon to wield in the field of battle.
Just in case you got rid of your old Strange’s Rifle or never bothered finishing the story and acquiring it in the first place, you can obtain it by following these easy steps (thanks to HellraisersFury member ‘Zander0401.’)

1. Head to the Tower of Guardians and go to the quest board, located near the Vanguards.
2. The board will allow you to access abandoned quests, so select option.
3. Pull up the quest titled Fruit of the Garden.
4. Finish the quest. It should be easy enough to accomplish if you’re playing on a higher difficulty with powerful gear.
5. Go to the Tower and visit The Speaker. The Stranger’s Rifle should now appear in your inventory.
The Taken King launches on September 15 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Those of you who own last-generation hardware may want to contact Activision asap to help install the game if you don’t have enough space.
