Destiny: weekly Nightfall reset for February 23, 2016

Bungie has hit the reset button on Destiny’s game world for another week, ushering in a fresh wave of challenges for eager Guardians to tackle for the next seven days.

Those of you looking to conquer the Nightfall for another week will have to face the Darkblade mission, which features the modifiers Berserk, Small Arms, Chaff and Airborne. Moving over to the King’s Fall weekly challenge, Guardians will find themselves up against the Warpriest.

Players who like it old-school and fancy going back to the House of Wolves-era of The Prison of Elders, however, will face fresh arenas in the shape of Broken Legion and Urrox’s Grudge for Level 32 and Level 34, respectively.

Destiny was released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 in September 2014. The game was later supported by three expansion packs over the next 12 months, including The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King.

In recent months, developer Bungie has opted to release time-based events to keep players entertained, such as The Sparrow Racing League, Festival of the Lost and the recent Valentine’s Day-themed Crimson Days. The studio hinted late last year that these events will replace the traditional expansion model going forward.

However, earlier this month publisher Activision confirmed that a new expansion for Destiny will be released in 2016. Not only that, but Destiny 2, which was reportedly delayed from its original launch window of fall 2016, will arrive at some point next year. Details on the sequel have yet to be announced at this stage.

Bungie recently emailed its customers to see if they’re still enjoying the game. Read our full review of Destiny based on the vanilla version to see what we made of the shared-world shooter at launch.
