Destiny: weekly Nightfall reset for September 29, 2015

Destiny’s game world has been reset for another week, ushering in a fresh Nightfall for Guardians to tackle among a bunch of other new challenges.

This week’s Nightfall takes the form of the Undying Mind strike, and features modifiers including Solar Burn, Juggler, Fresh Troops, and Catapult. The Court of Oryx meanwhile introduces a new Tier 3 boss in the shape of Balwur, an all-powerful wizard.

Finally, the Prison of Elders has reshuffled its combat arenas, with Cult of the Worm and Broken Legion available for Level 32 and Level 34, respectively.

Destiny: The Taken King was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 earlier this month. The expansion is the most substantial piece of content for Bungie’s shared-world shooter to date, featuring a host of new missions, weapons, gear, strikes plus a brand new Raid

In addition, various gameplay tweaks have also been implemented, such as a third subclass for Guardians, while the levelling system has been revamped so that now earn experience to increase your level. The Light Level meanwhile is now entirely independent and acts as an average of your defense and attack prowess. Nolan North also replaces Peter Dinklage as the voice of Ghost.

The Taken King has been a great success for publisher Activision so far, topping the U.K. All Format Charts upon release and selling the majority of copies on the PS4. In addition, it’s also now PlayStation’s biggest downloaded day-one title of all time—not too shabby.
