Deus Ex Mankind Divided looks and sounds fantastic

We got a whole lot more information on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided at Square Enix’s E3 conference including details of the deliciously deep gameplay and what fresh hell poor Adam Jensen has got wrapped up in this time.

Set two years after the events of Human Revolution, Augemented humans are outcasts that the general populace hate and fear in equal measure, Jensen is no longer working for Seraph industries and finds himself hunting other Augments (who are considered terrorists) for the government, but turns out he’s doing the whole Double Agent thing and helping Augments out. It all sounds delightfully Blade Runner.

Improvements to the series sound huge. Your choices have consequences and will deeply affect the way the game evolves, meaning you could feasibly end up playing a very different version of Mankind Divided to someone else.  Jensen’s augemented powers also get amped up with greater scanning of the game world and ace weaponry that include guns in your arms and blades you can remove from your body and throw.

The gameplay video is rather short sadly and the PS4 release date is only a vague 2016 for now, but there’s enough to get us excited.
