Elias Toufexis, the voice actor behind Adam Jensen in the Deus Ex franchise, has said that the corporate bigwigs behind the franchise “dropped the ball” by cancelling the next planned entry in the series.
The actor, who voted the protagonist in both Deus Ex: Human Evolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, posted on X that Adam Jensen is still by far the most popular role of his that he is asked to sign for at fan conventions. Here’s what he had to say:
I’ve had major roles in extremely popular projects. Star Trek, Supernatural, etc et al…At Comicons and Conventions, you know what I still get asked to sign the most? Adam Jensen in Deus Ex. I feel like @embracergroup may have dropped the ball on this one.

Back in January 2024 it was reported that Embracer Group had cancelled a new Deus Ex title amidst a series of major layoffs at the studio, although Toufexis later stated that this game wasn’t likely a Jensen story as he hadn’t been involved in the project.
