Nippon Ichi Software has spilled the beans on the upcoming Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, which is scheduled to launch for PS4 and Nintendo Switch on January 29, 2021 in its native Japan.
Disgaea 6 Defiance Of Destiny – First Info Emerges
The story is as bonkers as you’d expect, with the game following a chap named Zed, a zombie who finds himself reanimating in different worlds to battle the calamity known as the God of Destruction, which poses a threat to all demonic life.
Along the way you’ll explore the Human World, TV World, Demons Academy, Musical World, and Evil Castle. Zed is also joined by his zombified sister, Bieko, and their undead pooch Cerberus. Once again, you’ll spend your time training unique characters and battling various foes.
In the Disgaea series, you can enjoy demonically zany ways of fighting such as lifting and throwing party members and enemies, or teaming up with party members to gang up on the enemy. You can also create your own party members, so build a team of your favorite characters and head into battle.
There’s also couple of changes to Disgaea 6, including the visuals, with the character designs by Takehito Harada now being in 3D. Players can also utilise a 2x speed mode and auto battle, although details on these are being kept under wraps for now.
Nippon Ichi also confirmed that post-game content is being lined up for Disgaea 6, and there will be a Limited Edition version featuring a special box, art book, and soundtrack CD.
