The original Disgaea Hour of Darkness is getting a remake for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The Disgaea Hour of Darkness HD remake will be released in Japan in the summer and be called Disgaea Refine.
Developed by Nippin Ichi Software, the original PS2 game will be given a graphical overhaul. The news comes from the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation. In the magazine, it's confirmed that a limited edition version of Disgaea Refine will be available, which includes the soundtrack, a calendar and a make-up box.
No further details were revealed. Disgaea Hour of Darkness is a tactical role-playing that was originally released for PS2. It was later ported to PlayStation Vita under the name Disgaea Portable in Japan and Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness in the US.
The last game in the series to appear on PS4 was Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance in 2015. The Disgaea Hour of Darkness HD remake (Disgaea Refine) will be available in Japan on July 26, 2018.
