Gameloft has lifted the wraps off a new hero racer, Disney Speedstorm, which combines characters form the Disney and Pixar worlds and places them in a Mario Kart-style setting for high-speed thrills and spills.
The game will see heroes and villains square off against each other on tracks inspired from various Disney and Pixar movies.
Each character will be identified by specific classes, so Mickey Mouse for example is based around speed while Sully from Monsters Inc is a powerhouse character, similar to what you’d see from Mario and Bowser in Mario Kart.
According to early reports, Disney Speedstorm will be free to play and will be complemented by new tracks and characters post-launch. There’s also local and split-screen co-op included.
Disney Speedstorm is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation formats in Summer 2022.
