Disney Games and Gameloft have announced on Twitter that Disney Speedstorm will be adding Steamboat Wilie Micky Mouse as a playable character this summer.
If you’re not up on your Disney history, Steamboat Willie is the name of a 1928 cartoon and saw Mickey Mouse steering a steam river side-wheeler. The cartoon is the first proper debut of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and also features Pete, who would later became a well-known villain often associated with Disney’s mascot.
Steamboat Willie Mickey Mouse will arrive as part of Disney Speedstorm Season 2, which is believed to kick off in early June as the first season kicked off yesterday and wraps up on June 5. The game is currently available for PS4 & PS5 in Early Access, although if you are subscribed to PS Plus Premium, you can play a two-hour trial.
Disney Speedstorm is now available for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
