The Witcher is getting a TV spin-off show and Rocky IV powerhouse Dolph Lundgren is to feature in the project, the actor has reportedly confirmed to Swedish publication Aftonbladet. The actor said that he’s in South Africa shooting for the project.
According to Collider, The Witcher spin-off will be focussed on the Nilfgaardian thrive known as the Rats, which were introduced in the Time of Contempt novel by Andrzej Sapkowski. It’s worth noting that the third season of Netflix’s The Witcher, which is the last one featuring Henry Cavill as Geralt, adapts elements from this story, so it is likely we’ll see the Rats in there somewhere .
While details on Lundgren’s involvement have yet to be confirmed, Collider speculates that the actor will portray a villain named Leo Bonhart.
Netflix’s The Witcher will introduce a brand new Geralt in the form of Liam Hemsworth for its fourth season.
