CyberConnect 2 and Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced that Dragon Ball: Kakarot has sold 10 million units worldwide, and confirmed that its next batch of DLC, DAIMA: Adventure Through the Demon Realm – Part 2, is set to arrive on January 15, 2026.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was released for PS4, PC, and Xbox One in January 2020, with a Nintendo Switch version arriving in September 2021 and PS5 and Xbox Series X/S following in January 2023 and February 2023, respectively. The base game included seven playable characters, including Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Future Trunks, Gotenks, and Vegito, while the core narrative is broken into four storylines: Saiyan Saga, Frieza Saga, Cell Saga, and Buu Saga, with additional storylines unlocked as DLC.
Speaking of which, CyberConnect 2 has supported Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot with a bunch of expansions, including A New Power Awakens — Part 1 (April 2020), A New Power Awakens — Part 2 (November 2020), and Trunks: The Warrior of Hope, which arrived in June 2021 and concluded the first season pass. Further content was added over they ears, including Bardock: Alone Against the Fate in January 2023.
