Square Enix has confirmed on its official Dragon Quest Heroes II website that the upcoming action-RPG will run at 1080p/60fps on PlayStation 4.
The Japanese software giant offered up a comparison between all three versions of the game—namely, PS4, PS3 and PS Vita—confirming unsurprisingly that the PS4 release flexes the most technical muscle.
While the gameplay will remain identical across all three platforms, Square Enix notes that the graphics are slightly downgraded on the PS3 and PS Vita. In addition, the framerate isn’t quite as smooth on last-generation systems, running at 30fps instead of 60.
Pleasingly, all three versions will feature multiplayer content and Cross-Play has also been confirmed.
The original Dragon Quest Heroes was released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 last year. Read our review of the game here.
