Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is just over a month from release, and Square Enix has released a brand new content trailer detailing all the new content coming to the title ahead of Tokyo Game Show.
The new trailer can be seen below:
- New Characters and NPCs (DQI)
- New Dungeons to explore (DQI)
- Additional story content (DQI)
- One vs. Many combat (Originally, all battles were one player versus one enemy) (DQI)
- Sigils can now be unlocked and used to learn new magic and skills (DQI&II)
- Scrolls are also available throughout the game and can be used on specific characters to unlock more abilities (DQI&II)
- Mini Medals appear for the first time in DQ I&II. Collect them to unlock unique armor and scrolls (DQI&II)
- An entirely new region underwater can be fully explored in Dragon Quest II with new NPCs and monsters to face that are not found in the original game. (DQII)
- New playable character, The Princess of Cannock (DQII)
- Minigame Tombola, where you must find Tombola tickets and can use them to win unique prizes, including fashion items and powerful accessories (DQII)

Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake completes the original Erdrick trilogy with last year’s release of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. Square Enix has also announced the full remake of Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined, which is set to release in February of next year, releasing three new Dragon Quest titles in three years.
