Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake Will Offer ‘Surprises’ For Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake Players

Square Enix has revealed that players who experience Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake before 2025’s Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will be treated to “brand-new surprises.”

The publisher didn’t go into any details as to what player can expect in regards these surprises, but it’s important to note that you shouldn’t just skip Dragon Quest III HD-2D remake and wait to play the others. This is actually the first game chronologically, so you won’t enjoy these extras unless you play that game before moving to I & II.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is pencilled in for release on November 14, 2024 for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation was originally released in Japan in 1988 for the NES, and was titled Dragon Warrior III in the US. The game was later enhanced for the SNES in 1996, and saw a Game Boy Color in 2001 and mobile and Wii in 2009 and 2011, respectively.
