Capcom has announced that Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen is launching for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S on October 9, 2026. This re-release of the fantasy-RPG features the base game plus the Dark Arisen expansion, which introduces a host of new content for Dragon’s Dogma II.
The expansion summons the Arisen to the Northern region of Norgan, which has long been abandoned, where they must join forces with the enigmatic Eir to unravel the secrets of undying Fallen Dragon. During this new adventure, the Arisen must unearth and appraise forgotten relics to unlock powerful new weapons and skills, while players will also be able to tackle 12 Lost Rites Dungeon Challenges in the expansion. In addition, Dark Arisen also adds new options to the Character Creator, such as extra hairstyles and tattoos.
Capcom also revealed that two major updates will be released for Dragon’s Dogma II in the run up to the Dark Arisen expansion, with the first out now and makes fast travel more accessible thanks to the addition of the reusable Eternal Ferrystone, plus other quality-of-life improvements. The second patch will drop at the end of August and adds improved frame rates, extra save slots, and further refinements to June’s quality-of-life improvements.
Dragon’s Dogma II Dark Arisen launches October 9.
