Jamie Brayshaw of Evolution Studios took to the PlayStation.blog to talk about the challenges players will face in DRIVECLUB.
Rayshaw explains “ It’s not just about crossing the finish line first.” Players will be able to earn points for driving with flair or expert precision along with earning accolades for each of car and club. Players will also be able to take on specific challenges featuring drifting and speeding. “Everything you do earns you fame, which helps you unlock new cars and liveries for you and your club.” said Brayshaw.
When people finish a race they can instantly issue a challenge to their friends. The more people involved in the challenge the bigger the reward players will earn. Brayshaw goes on to say: “You can even set up the challenge so that everyone involved can invite the drivers and clubs they want to join in, sparking new friendships and rivalries and giving your challenge the chance to go viral.”
DRIVECLUB is scheduled to release October 7, 2014 exclusively on PS4. A PlayStation Plus subscription will allow players to experience a portion of the game. Those who enjoy it may then purchase the game at a discounted price.
