Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed a new behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming PS5 DualSense Edge controller, which looks at the design process behind the premium pad.

Offering a behind the scenes look at how PlayStation‘s first-ever high-performance ultra-customizable controller was created, the video shares insights into what inspired the controller’s form factor and feature-set. Additionally, it gives a first look at how the PS5 console’s user interface will enable deeper levels of customization of the controller.
The DualSense Edge controller is scheduled for release on January 26, 2023 and will retail for $199.99/£209.99, while replaceable stick modules will set you back $19.99/£19.99 and are due to launch alongside the pad.
PlayStation Direct is currently taking preorders for the controller and replaceable stick modules for customers in the US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
