Tymon Smektala, franchise director on Dying Light: The Beast, has revealed during an interview with GamesRadar that developer Techland asks play testers “to rate each quest one by one,” providing a score out of five.
According to Smektala, “basically all of them” have an average score of 80% or higher, although he was keen to point out that the final quest is something special. “The last mission in the game gets the highest score [out of] everything that’s in the game,” he said, with scores for the final mission being “close to perfect” with nearly every playtester scoring it higher than four out of five.

Speaking in a separate interview last month with Insider Gaming, Smektala revealed that Techland is treating Dying Light: The Beast as Dying Light 3. The studio had originally planned for The Beast to be released as DLC for Dying Light 2, but the project eventually evolved into its own separate offering, which promises to deliver more than 20 hours of gameplay.
Dying Light: The Beast is scheduled for release on August 22, 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
