Omega Force’s Tomohiko Sho has revealed during a special Dynasty Warriors 25th Anniversary Producer talk that there’s currently no plans for any other remasters in the franchise, but noted any decision in this respect will come down to how successful Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered is.
In addition, Sho-san revealed that remasters the fan-favourite title was “really difficult to achieve,” with Dynasty Warriors IP producer, Akihiro Suzuki stating that “recreating a PS2-era game is incredibly expensive.” Ultimately, any future Dynasty Warriors remasters comes down to how well this effort is received: “If this game isn’t successful, there won’t be a next one, so we’re looking forward to your support,” said Sho.

Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026 for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is billed as as ‘striking modern revival of Dynasty Warriors 3 and Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends,’ the remaster offers more than 40 officers and uses the power of Unreal Engine 5 to completely overhaul the game’s battlefields.
