A limited edition metallic gold DualShock 3 control pad will be released later this month, Sony has confirmed.
Apparently, the new peripheral is being made to tie in with the upcoming 2012 Olympics, and contains all the usual workings of a bog-standard DS3. Only it looks far prettier.
Sony said in a statement: "Available this June, going for gold has never been more apt; if it’s scoring a winning hat trick or making poll position, do it in style with the metallic gold Dualshock 3 and feel like a real winner.”
