E3 2014: Criterion unveils new jaw-dropping multi-vehicle IP

Criterion Games – the developers behind the Burnout series and most recently the latest Need for Speed titles – has spread its collective wings by announcing development of an exciting, new high-octane IP.

Shown during EA’s E3 press conference, the title looks to take players on their most extreme ride yet – by thrusting them into an epic, multi-terrain environment with one of the most insane array of vehicles amassed in a videogame to date. Players can take command of an ATV, a wing-suit, a parachute and even helicopter as they ride across the vast and varied locale.

Finding its inspiration from real-life athletes on YouTube, the game plays through a first-person perspective – with players even able to cross paths and get tangled between multiple parachutes and helicopters.

Dubbed the ‘’biggest game the developer’s ever worked on’’ the title, details have been scarce as to the working title of the game as well as the platforms it’s set to appear on, but you can bet your bottom dollar that a release across all next-gen consoles is a dead cert.

As ever stay tuned to PSU for more breaking news regarding Criterion’s newest IP.
