With The Callisto Protocol now out, many players can begin to turn their attention to EA Motive’s upcoming remake of Dead Space.
Through IGN, EA Motive showed off the first 18 minutes of the game, which include Nicole’s message to Isaac, his ship crashing on the Ishimura, and the engineer’s first few encounters with the necromorphs.
There are some key differences though, in part being that Isaac is no longer the silent protagonist in this new version. He talks, and his voice brings a new layer of storytelling to an old campaign many are now familiar with.

Having this remake release only months after what was being touted as the ‘spiritual successor’ to Dead Space in The Callisto Protocol does feel like quite a lot of space horror back-to-back.
It’ll be interesting to see how fans of the Dead Space franchise and horror fans compare the two experiences, and how well this remake stacks up against the original.
