Electronic Arts has reacted to claims earlier this week that the publishing powerhouse has allegedly put Mirror’s Edge 2 on hold, insisting the parkour-centric series still remains “an important franchise.”
The company told 1up that it has “nothing further to announce” regarding a potential follow-up to the 2008 building-hopping, butt-kicking actioner, which was rumored to have been put on ice after developer DICE apparently switched gears to another project.
Still, with the knowledge that the IP still remains an important commodity in EA’s portfolio, there’s every chance that heroine Faith may somersault back onto store shelves at some point later down the line.
In the meantime, check out our review of the original Mirror’s Edge here.
