In brighter news, Electronic Arts has now made Battlefield 4 DLC free for PlayStation and Xbox owners. The DLC pack is currently on the PSN Store listed as £39.99, but you can download them for free individually on PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360.

The Battlefield 4 expansions include: China Rising, Second Assault, Naval Strike, Dragon’s Teeth, and Final Stand.

Meanwhile, Battlefield 1 launches on October 21, 2016. In our hands-on preview,we wrote:

"If there was ever any doubt that a shift to World War One would somehow dampen the frantic, adrenaline-fueled antics the series is known for, then take comfort in the knowledge that this is quintessentially Battlefield in every respect. In fact, despite the step back in time, the franchise feels for the first time in a while that it has well and truly grown up."
