Black Friday is done and dusted, and EA Sports FC 24 has emerged victorious on the UK boxed charts, fending off competition from Hogwarts Legacy and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III to nab the top spot.
The footie title, which is the first from EA following its split from FIFA, saw a massive 101% increase in sales, with the PS5 version taking the lion’s share of copies sold. Black Friday physical sales also saw a 7% increase compared to the same period last year.
Other games that benefited from Black Friday deals include Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which went from no.32 to no.10 due to a 400% increase in sales, while God of War Ragnarok saw a 102% increase in sales, jumping to number no. 18.
