Fans of the EA Sports NHL games have a lot to look forward to with the new program that EA has set in place.
Aptly coined EA Sports NHL Rewards, this program will yield in-game bonuses for all players who register or have registered for it. Before we get to the aforementioned bonuses, let’s get to another, much larger incentive:
Registered players will be entered in a drawing to become the official EA Sports NHL 17 Superfan. When the winner is chosen, he or she will have a real-life likeness scanned into the game and become a fan in the crowd of his or her favorite team’s arena within NHL 17; the winner will be contacted via the email used to register. Chances to be immortalized in a video game only come up so often, so what better place to be than in one’s favored hockey arena?
For all remaining registered players, in-game content and perks will be rewarded occasionally via the registered email address. On top of that, using that email while shopping on NHL.com will grant a ten percent discount for all purchases, rewarding players both in and out of the game.Specifics on those perks aren’t established as of yet, but treat the following as a teaser for what may come with the rewards program:
All players registered with an established Hockey Ultimate Team in NHL 16 will receive a complimentaryPremium Player pack to bolster their Ultimate Team as a thankyou for being a part of the program.
Considering card packs are generally purchased with actual cash, gaining some extra complimentary cards is a hard option to avoid. Registration is available at www.easports.com/nhl/rewards.
