Electronic Arts has finally lifted the hood on its upcoming EA Sports WRC video game, which is confirmed to launch for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on November 3, 2023. Those of you who preorder the game will be given three days early access on October 31, 2023, as well as five VIP Rally Passes for DLC access.
Codemasters’ Senior Creative Director, Ross Gowing, commented:
EA SPORTS WRC is the purest form of motorsport where every stage is a fight against the clock, the terrain, and yourself. This is the rally game we’ve always wanted to make, combining our studio’s deep knowledge and expertise with the power of the official WRC license representing the pinnacle of rally motorsport. The game’s new engine has enabled us to push rally to the edge of what’s deemed possible, and the additional features, including Builder and Moments, give players even more ways to interact with the sport they love.
Powered by Unreal Engine and the physics of the critically acclaimed DiRT series, EA Sports WRC offers players more detailed stages than previous iterations, offering 18 official FIA World Rally Championship locations and over 600km of asphalt, gravel, and snowy tracks. EA Sports WRC also features 10 current WRC, WRC2, and Junior WRC vehicles and 68 iconic rally cars from a career spanning 60 years. The developers have worked with key manufacturers including Ford, Toyota, and Hyundai, and have been built to face every challenge throughout the season.
EA also confirmed that the rally title will support 22 player Cross-Platform multiplayer, while the publisher’s racing companion, EA Racenet, offers Clubs as community-built hubs offering custom multi-surface tournaments with rallying at any location and time of the year. Players can also look forward to personalised events and Moments, the latter allowing racers to relive pivotal scenarios from the 2023 Season and is updated daily in-game.
EA Sports WRC is due out on Nov. 3 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
