NetherRealm Studios‘ Ed Boon has hinted that Ghostface from the Scream franchise may be added as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1.
The Mortal Kombat co-creator posted a tweet of a number of horror movie villains complete with ticks and question marks, with Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, and Jason Voorhees all having been ticked as they have appeared in previous Mortal Kombat games.
However, a ‘?’ appears over the heads over Ghostface, Pinhead, Michael Myers, Chucky, and Billy the Puppet, suggesting one or more may appear in Mortal Kombat 1. While anyone is a possibility, it’s worth noting that Ghostface has already been mentioned by a dataminer among a list of as-yet unannounced characters.
