We recently reported that Eidos Interactive reserved Tomb Raider: Underworld as a trademark. Unsurprisingly, this soon generated much speculation towards the direction that the Tomb Raider series will go in terms of concept and story.
Tomb Raider followers will soon enough catch a glimpse of what the upcoming title may deliver as Eidos is set to reveal the game in a number of ways. One of these includes an online marketing campaign that will kick off in January 2008.
However, it is currently unknown what form the game will be unveiled; in-game shots, concept art or pre-rendered footage? We will just have to wait and see.
Tomb Raider Underworld, as it is currently called, will be based on the Mayan calendar during a period where portals connecting the mortal world with the underworld existed. The title will release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
