Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim getting update for all formats

Bethesda has confirmed it is chiselling away on a patch for the PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 versions of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Writing on Twitter, Pete Hines, head of PR and marketing for Bethesda, assured fans that an update is underway, though urged folk to remain patient in the meantime.

"Patches/updates take a little time. We can’t turn it around quite that fast. It’s been three days. Calm down, we’re working on it,” he said in response to one follower.

He added: "We are continuing to work on an update for all platforms to address issues any bugs and perf issues we can."

The fantasy RPG has suffered from numerous gripes for all three platforms since its launch last week. 360 owners reported texture issues if the game has been installed on the hard drive, with texture streaming problems also present in the PS3 version.

Finally, those who own the PC version have commented on various performance issues, including some cases where the game completely freezes up.
